What is Help Me Grow?
Help Me Grow (HMG) is a program for Ohio's expectant parents, newborns, infants and toddlers that provides health and developmental services so children start school healthy and ready to learn.
Services are designed with your family's concerns and goals in mind. HMG follows a TEAM approach in the development of your child.
Why Would I Need Help Me Grow?
HMG is a program designed to strengthen families with children ages birth to three by building on family strengths, identifying family needs, and assisting families in discovering and using community resources.
Sometimes children need extra attention due to premature birth, medical diagnosis or health concerns about their progress in talking, hearing, seeing, thinking, playing or moving.
Services Provided
- HMG staff to provide coordination of services
- Support and information about your infant or toddler's immunization, nutrition and development
- Home visits provided by HMG staff
- Health and developmental screenings
- Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP)
- Family support meetings
- Parenting skills/education workshops
- Referral/Link to community resources
- Play groups
- Parent education about child development
- Assistance with transition to preschool services

Birth to six months
- I smile.
- I lift my head when I'm on my tummy.
- I roll over.
Six months to one year
- I sit alone.
- I say "Mama" & "Dadda".
- I crawl.
One year to two years
- I walk alone.
- I try to feed myself with a spoon.
- I follow simple directions.
Two years to three years
- I begin to use the toilet or potty.
- I climb stairs.
- I can jump & balance on one leg.
How Much Does Help Me Grow Cost Me?
Help Me Grow services are free and completely voluntary.
Who is eligible?
- Pregnant women
- Newborns, infants and toddlers under the age of 3 and their families
Serving Carlisle, Dayton, Franklin, Kings, Lebanon, Loveland, Maineville, Mason, Middletown, Springboro, Waynesville, Wilmington and all other parts of Warren County.
